Alright, as you may know I have a pretty crappy internet service provider (ISP), but unfortunately it is also kinda all we can get around here. I mean, I could switch to another ISP, but they’re basically all through ADSL phone lines which I do not possess. I’m on cable and I kinda like it that way. Not to mention that the one ISP I would switch to is also kinda expensive. :/

Now, so there were problems again with my internet so I called the help desk. I figured after not having internet for 14 hours there’s something very wrong. Apparently they gave the wrong IP address to the modem, how the heck that works I don’t know but at least it wasn’t too hard to fix. Well, ok, it still took like 20 minutes.

Anyway, after I got back online I asked him about my options regarding cable packages. Since I’m stuck with them I might as well explore my options, right? If ya can’t beat ‘m, join ‘m. I already knew what I wanted ‘cuz I checked their website, which was the all-in-one package deal they had. It is (faster) internet + digital tv + phone with free installation, modem, digital tv decoder, the works. All I had to pay was a one time fee of 9,50 euros. Not a bad deal.

Now, how much is this package gonna cost me every month? Almost the same exact amount I was paying them before. Slow ass internet and all. So in essence I’ve been paying them way too much for far too little for a very long time. Thought it was about time to change that.

So now I got a whopping download speed of about 2MB/sec (Hey, don’t laugh! That’s a big deal around these parts!) and upload of around 256KB/sec. On my TV I can now receive 157 channels though I’ll lose a few in a bit for this is just the preview week where they try ‘n hook ya to all the extra goodies you gotta pay for. The phone, however, I can’t seem to get working because apparently the power sockets in my house are too old and therefor unsupported. I’m looking into it.

Sooo…. I guess I’m done writing this thing so I’m gonna go finish doing my nails. :P

Toodles!

SO once again they’ve changed their minds, my father doesn’t have ms its the low threat level Parkinson’s. Also my father was referred back to a doctor he had seen a bout maybe 5 or so years ago (maybe more maybe less). He does still have polio (for the longest time he just had post polio syndrome but last few years its just been good old polio) but his doctor was confused when looking over his chart. ALL OF HIS OTHER DOCTORS FAILED TO LOOK AT HIS CT SCAN AND ALSO FAILED TO NOTICE THAT HE HAD MAJOR HEAD/NERVE/BRAIN SURGERY BACK IN THE DAY.
I’m gonna go pound my head against a wall for a few moments…excuse me.
………
OK, see he had a cluster of nerves removed from the back of his head because they done be fuck’d up.
But because of this occasionally things in his brain misfire. Now I don’t mean like he forgets how to breath or something silly like that more like he’ll be walking one way and suddenly one leg will just shoot out the other way. This is what made them think he had MS, but thankfully no they were wrong. This would have been good to know before money was spent on medications tho…damn it.

Peace out! (I meant to write more posts these past few weeks but I’ve been busy and I can’t find my camera /cry)

Schools have started again this week and so our kid is off to high school for the first time. From monday through wednesday they had their ‘fun days’. On monday it was brief, they just had to get their schedule and meet up with their class. Next day they were supposed to go ’stepping’ (scooters) in a nearby town but due to the very bad rain it was canceled and they did other stuff at the school instead.

Later that day, at like 7PM the school had the official yearly opening in their main building, which happens to be right next door so that was convenient. It was only supposed to last like an hour but you know how it goes. It consisted of teachers talking a little about the school, their no-bullying protocol that will have to be signed by every single student later this week.

A senior grade school band was there too. They were performing jazz, it was kinda weird. It wasn’t horrible but the singer definitely needs some practice. He was better when he used more volume in his voice. And in the end there’s was another guy that wanted the entire room to sing in canon. I passed on the opportunity to let everyone hear my beautiful singing voice. ;)

Wednesday she went swimming and today is her actual first day of school. She’ll have French! Oui oui madam! She’s gonna get her fair share of subjects this year, and they’re adding German after xmas. So she’ll be busy learning stuffs. I hope so anyway, she could use some proper education, her last school didn’t do much at all to be honest. (Stupid school for foreigners to learn Dutch).

So our visitor count has been increasing a bit again lately, in fact our traffic rank went up by 4 MILLION! The percent of global Internet users who visit our site went up by 385% in the past 3 months.

Apparently one of the reasons of our traffic increase is Computergate’s Lay’s Fries & Gravy food review. I started noticing certain keywords appearing in our stats, and for some reason when you Google: Lays Gravy Chips we’re the number one link. Pretty kewl.

Other reasons for our increased readership includes a more refined use of meta tags, manual submissions to networking websites, and advertising our website more.

On that note, MySpace is currently blocking our website, they are claiming we are either a Malware site, a phishing site, or blatant spam. I have personally sent them a letter a few weeks ago to lift the block to which they responded they had, yet weeks later we are still being blocked. subsequent letters seem to have fallen on deaf ears as I only get a standard reply back stating I should be patient. It’s been over a month, it can’t be that hard to unblock a site.

So, I’m asking you to help us out a bit. I’ve set up an automatic email link for you that’ll auto-fill the subject and content, all you have to do is click here and send. That’s it. We would be most grateful if you did.

Also, you may have noticed the ads have disappeared. We were testing out if we could generate some revenue with the but they proved to be more of a nuisance than anything.

So the kittens are a few weeks old now and going all crazy. I figured I’d post a few more recent pictures and tell you all a little about them.

Koetje, so named due to the fact his markings resemble a common cow. He’s very social and easygoing, likes to cuddle and recently found a home with my mom.

Kaiya, named after an online friend of ours. She looks very similar to Koetje despite the fact that she has a few spots of orange along her head and backside. Just a few, she’s mostly white really. She too just found a new home over at my mom’s.

Pongo, named after one of the 101 Dalmatians. Pongo is white with black spots all over, and not in any recognizable pattern. He looks really weird and acts it too, he’s got some form of brain damage we think. We’re keeping this one as he fears outsiders.

Pita, short for Pain In The Ass. She was a total brat at first but has mellowed down somewhat. Loves to lay with you and purr.

Kira, ‘twin’ of Pita with very similar looks. Her deep black eye makeup makes her look very unique. She and Pita are practically inseparable. For a home we need to find someone willing to take both. She’s very cute and cuddly.

Jack, aka Black Jack. He weighs a ‘ton’, being easily twice the size of the other kittens. He’s mostly black with some white and has an odd black splotch on his mouth. Jack is incredibly smart and a fast learner. You really have to watch this one.

Some pics:

Here’s Kaiya, Pongo, and Kira posing for a picture.

There are 5 kittens in this tiny basket, Koetje is in the bottom right corner, kind of engulfed by the others.

Feeding time is always fun, especially when we still had 12 cats. The twelfth being Eek who was visiting for a while. Nova and Sol are not visible in this picture.
